**Meet Adoptable Lionel,a sweet one year old neutered male Chihuahua x. He is a funny ,goofy ,lovebug who loves everyone. Lionel is indifferent with cats and prefers dogs his size as playmates. He is young so he would benefit from basic training to be the best he can be. Lionel loves to play and any attention is what makes this guy the happiest. He would love a home that has time for him. He walks well on leash and is eager to learn. Lionel weighs 6 lbs so he would not suit young children .

Duchess is a lovely, goofy, energetic girl who will do best with an active family who has lots of time to devote to her. She is roughly 2 years old, house trained, and knows a couple of obedience commands. She loves to go out on walks and hikes, and although she pulls when excited, she walks really nicely after you get going. This girl is a cuddler and loves hanging out on the couch after having her exercise.

Simba is in need of a special home, because she is a special girl. Simba was found as a mistreated stray and was very leery and suspicious of people. It has taken her several months to get where she is today. We are looking for a patient and loving home for her, probably with a senior person or couple. She must have a completely fenced yard and cannot be let off leash as she can spook easily. She would also very much suit a condo.

Since these photos were taken, Becca has gained some weight and we will update with new photos shortly. This dog has obviously had an extremely difficult life but, despite this, is a very sweet girl. She has no food aggression whatsoever which really surprises me given that she has obviously been starving. She allowed another dog to walk right in and start eating her food.

Smirnoff is a spunky kitten full of energy. Not only does she love playing, she also loves attention and snuggles and will follow her humans around hoping for a good pet. She will also just scramble to get on your shoulder to sit and purr in your ear. She jumps and runs and makes a hilarious spectacle.

This beautiful Siamese cat that we are calling Chanel was taken in by another rescue organization and then transferred to Cowichan Cat Rescue because they did not have room for her and her little family. That’s right, she was pregnant, and so now she has finished raising her litter and she is looking for a home of her own. She has recently been spayed and vaccinated.

Nona is a playful, affectionate and clownish dog looking for a moderately active home. She is in foster with six other dogs and is learning to be more relaxed at the dog park. Nona will not suit a home with a cat. She loves every person she meets including children. Nona is not a large dog but is strong. She is a solid and muscular dog on the short side and is very agile. She would love a home with someone who can handle her strength and can endure a hundred kisses a day!
