Cowichan Cat Rescue is a federally registered charity operated by a board of trustees and a group of volunteers since 1998 dedicated to improving life for feral cats in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Our territory stretches from Malahat to Chemainus. The feral cat work within this range keeps us very busy. Accepting tame cats is not within our scope (except if the cat was adopted out from CCR originally, in which case its tattoo would be in our files). We hope people with concerns regarding tame cats will take those concerns to organizations whose purview is helping tame cats.
