Please help Joel ride!

Joel is a young adult with Down's Syndrome  who is a foster volunteer for stray and abandoned animals at Victoria Adoptables and the Victoria Humane Society. For the past few years he has helped look after sick kittens, feral cats, senior dogs and orphaned puppies.

On Friday, June 6th Joel is graduating along with his class at Lambrick Park High School. This is an emotional event for both his parents because when he was born, Joel's doctors gave him a 30% chance of survival.

His mother is looking for an adult tricycle for a graduation gift. They have tried regular bikes many times but Joel just doesn't have the confidence and balance to drive it. An adult tricycle would give him so much freedom and that way he can spend the summer going to the lake or beach (with supervision). They don't have the budget to buy it new so they were looking for an old one they could fix up.

As Victoria Adoptables, we are so proud of Joel and how he has helped us with the stray and abandoned animals who come into our care. We feel he deserves a good bike.
