About Bamboo...

Bamboo is available for adoption in Nanaimo. Bamboo is about 10 years old and is hoping to find a calm, cozy home to spend the rest of his life in. He is a sweet boy who loves pets and chin scratches, and doesn't mind sharing space with other friendly cats. If only we could understand Bamboo's meows, we might know what he's gone through. Bamboo started his life in Taiwan where he was microchipped 10 years ago. His chip was never registered. We don't know what the next 10 years were like for him, but earlier this month he was abandoned in a cardboard box in the woods. Thankfully, someone witnessed the abandonment and Bamboo was taken into our care before he got too cold or hungry. Bamboo has no teeth at all and has suffered some kind of trauma to his left eye in the past. The eye doesn't bother him and his lack of teeth doesn't hold him back from enjoying his canned food. Bamboo is looking for an indoor only home where he can relax and have nothing to worry about. He is a friendly boy but prefers calm people and environments. Bamboo's adoption fee is $100 and he is neutered, microchipped, deflead, and comes with a voucher for a free vet exam at Island Vet. If you are interested in meeting Bamboo, visit him at the pound at 1260 Nanaimo Lakes Rd between 10 - 4 Mon - Fri or 10 - 3 on Saturdays.
