About Ringo...

Say hello to Ringo. He is a 2 year old Lab/Pit cross weighing 53lbs/24 kgs. He was a street wanderer in Puerto Vallarta. It was reported that he got into a local store and was starving so he had a feast on a small package of cakes which he opened. He was very resourceful! He was taken to the Acopio Shelter. Dog For Life is caring for him now and he is ready to travel. He is neutered and has had all his vaccinations and is now looking for a wonderful new family. Ringo is good with all dogs in fact he shares a kennel with 2 other dogs. He is not good with cats. He will be arriving in Victoria on 04 November. If you are looking for a wonderful new addition to your family please fill out an form or email dhbarsalou@shaw.ca for more information and video of Ringo. A bit of background about Dog For Life. We are a very small non-profit rescue group made up of people who love and have a passion for helping dogs and who work and live in Puerto Vallarta and Victoria as well as other parts of Canada and the USA. Dog For Life differs from other, larger rescue groups in that we personally work with each dog in Mexico and are part of their entire journey from the shelter to a foster home in Puerto Vallarta to their “furever” homes in Canada. We take great care in ensuring they are healthy and well and placed in the best possible homes. Our usual process is to have you fill out an application form, we review and then if warranted we would meet you and do a home check to ensure the inside and outside environments are safe and suitable for the dog. Then if all checks out and the dog is the right fit for you and you are right for the dog, we have the applicant do a one week foster to adopt. To adopt one of our dogs is $450 – this fee helps to cover some of the costs to get the dogs well – spay/neutered, vaccinations, vet care and ready to travel.
