Emma is a beautiful lab/hound/bulldog? mix who has won the heart of her foster mum. She is an amazing girl, loving sweet and a perfect house guest. She's completely housetrained and quite content to be snoozing at home. This is a dog who definitely does not suffer from separation anxiety!!!
Emma is learning to walk well on leash and her loose leash walking is fantastic. She is however a powerful girl so if a deer wanders on the horizon she will pull quite strongly. Emma is exceptionally smart and has learned a number of commands. She is keen, biddable and eager to please.
Emma would probably like to be an only dog. She can resource guard food against other dogs. She gets along well with the other dogs in her home and loves the cat. She would probably be best placed without small children and she can become quite boisterous when excited and needs some training around personal space. She thinks she is a lap dog.
Emma has some reactivity on leash, although it seems to be more based on boundary frustration. Her training is going fantastic and she is super easy to redirect and manage. She isn't however ready yet for a hectic environment such as the dog park or doggie daycare. She loves other dogs if the introductions are done in a calm and managed way.
For this reason Emma would likely be best in an adult, dog savvy home. Training and ongoing support will be provided by Smart Dog Training!
Emma is around 1-2 years of age, and fully vaccinated and spayed. She truly is a gem of a dog and would be fine with a family that worked outside of the home
